Are there any guarantees?  Listing a home for sale is the ultimate in “satisfaction guaranteed”! If your home doesn’t sell, you don’t pay for the service - even though the listing company may have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in marketing your home!  Some real estate companies may to try to tie you into a long term listing contract with no way out.  But the Linda Grissette of The Best Seller GMAC Real Estate is different!   

Do we really need to spend time and money getting our home fixed up before selling?  Yes.  At the very minimum, you need to clean up and pack up.  Painting and carpet cleaning cost very little, but can make your home sell much faster - and for a higher price. Linda will work with you to figure out the most cost effective things to do to your home. No.  A major remodeling job will not net you enough return!  Your goal is to make the buyer interested in your home.  If they see a very dated home with lots of work to be done, they will either pass it by or ask you to sell it for WAY LESS than your asking price, even if it was low already!
